Mythic Quest TV show coming to Apple TV+

Ed Willey

During Ubisoft’s E3 conference, things took a sideways turn when Rob McElhenney, creator of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia appeared onstage to announce a new TV show.

A self-professed lover of games, McElhenney got together with his Always Sunny co-star Charlie Day to put together a new comedy based around a video game development studio that makes the most successful MMORPG in the world, Mythic Quest.

The show will follow the devs as they embark on releasing their first major content patch, giving the show it’s full title of Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.

Filling out the cast are; Ashly Burch (Horizon Zero Dawn, Life is Strange), Community’s Danny Pudi, F. Murray Abraham, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, Jessie Ennis, and David Hornsby.

A short trailer was shown, which starts with a fake out of a promo video being shown to members of the dev team. It was a little light on laughs for a first look, but fingers crossed the final product will have more to go on, given the talent involved.

The show will premiere on Apple TV+ which is due to launch later this year.
