Ubisoft was so close to keeping the next Watch Dogs game under wraps until their conference next Mon, but, thanks to a slight mishap at Amazon, we now know it no only 100% exists, but the full title AND setting.
Watch Dogs Legion, as it’s known will take the player to “post-brexit” London, so says the blurb from the now removed listing page;
“Watch_Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries… London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest surveillance levels in the world making this the perfect playground.”
The listing also talked about the player being able to “play as anyone” an ambitious feature that has added full voice and animation systems to every NPC and is rumoured to be the main delay behind the release, with the previous game coming out almost 3 years ago.
How ‘playing as anyone’ will work out is anyone’s guess right now, but it’s a safe bet we’ll be getting more details from the stage in LA come Mon 10th June at 1pm PT (9pm BST).
